Year 11 Iftar with Michael Leunig

Year 11 students hosted a fabulous Iftar featuring special guest, esteemed author and cartoonist Michael Leunig. The students are currently studying Michael’s collection of essays ‘The Lot...in Words’ in VCE Unit 1 English this term. Students shared their essays, gave a Quran recitation and asked Michael questions to deepen their study of the text. It was a fantastic night. Thank you to all Year 11s for their hard work in making this event such a success.

I would also like to extend my warmest thanks to all the Year 11s, everyone who helped out in the organization of the Michael Leunig Iftar, and our guests who came to join us on the night. We could not have done it without all your support! The Year 11s had an amazing night and they are incredibly grateful to have had this special experience and share Iftar with someone like Michael.
